    ... off it was playground time and all three girls made fast friends with several local children. Oriah at one point was telling a patent of one of their new friends that we are living out of our car - we then explained our road trip. It was a great evening and thankfully there was tons of shade an a cool breeze tonight so we played for a long while. Tomorrow we drive down the coast to see Aunt Sarah!!     ... two choices were tasty! Later we met up with a Philadelphia friend who has returned to the Portland area- Amber gave us a few tips, and we loved the Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden. So pretty- but there might not be much in bloom by Mother's Day! We had a pleasant 68 degrees today- heard it was also a beautiful day on the east coast! On the road one month tomorrow! ...

    ... We ate lunch along the Wilamette river and then took a cab to the Portland Japanese Garden. I will just let the pictures speak for themselves on this one! The gardens were huge and perfectly manicured and SO gorgeous! We had a beautiful day too which always makes for great pictures!     ... excursion and we hit the road. Eventually (about 30 mi out) we stopped got gas, changed Harlan, and grabbed some coffe. The drive on the 5 was impressive, it was mostly lined with trees and greenery or farm land.
