Stayed at a best western In Katy, just outside of Houston. Managed to get a decent deal on a good room that I'm sure the dude made an **** of. I had chosen the Experience tour because it promised of extra stops at several key spots used by NASA and other private entities, including the 300 foot tall assembly bay where the rockets get wheeled in and out of. ... on to meet up with Dave & June Piley at the Deck marina for a quick beer. They keep their Cape Dory 19 there. We'll stay at Sunset Bay marina for the next month and then try for points further south. See you later to Indiantown and their wonderful staff and fellow cruisers and all the tree frogs, mosquitoes, and fire ants. ... winds on the nose in the gulf stream 10-15 knots. We all made the best of it and slugged along at times doing 4.8 knots and then the breeze would fill in and we'd do 5.5 knots.
