          Story was about how the Hotel was saved for immenant destruction, restored to it's original glory, put on the list of Historic Places, and then and only then did it deserve again, The Duncan Hines Award for fine Hotels nationwide! LOL

          ... came up the backside of the hill. The graves are laid out randomly amidst the sagebrush, but the pathway to Doc’s was well marked… a simple granite marker attesting to the fact that Doc was indeed buried in the cemetery, somewhere, but the exact spot had been lost. I retraced my steps to the entrance and then to Kid Curry’s, again where a simple marker had been placed.

          After the post office, we headed to the food center. This is what people in the west call grocery stores. Leaving there we saw a sign for espresso at the local oil change place.           Drove from the Badlands, S.D. to Buffalo, MT. On our drive day Cheryl and I stopped at Billings, MT. to see the Pictrographs on the cave wall. Interesting but they are really fadeing away, you are not going to be able to see them pretty soon. Stopped for dinner in Morecroft, MT. and then drove on to Buffalo, MT. Long day of driving 432 ...

          ... what to expect. They did not disappoint, after such featureless lands, it's was amazing to see such a strange landscape, with peaks as high as the troughs, knobbly stone structures carved out by the wind, was nothing like what we had seen and it was easy to get lost. But since there was a nice road looping through it, and every stop involved a walk of a 3/4mile max, it wasn't that bad. The views were spectacular.
