If you are reading this, and we warned you not to, here is why....

When we left the Grand Canyon we drove for a few hours that night and stayed in lovely Needles, California, right on the border of Arizona. So thats it, just where we slept for the night, before we headed up to Yosemite National Park.

We just wanted our map to be accurate, hence the reason for this post.

Till Yosemite, a real post you can read.

Nic and Jess
Needles, California, United States r-e-mWe picked up the RV today in Los Angeles, it's fantastic. A 32 foot (10m) home on wheels with 3 beds, shower, toilet, air conditioner, stove and fridge. This will be my home for the next 21 days.
We are headed to Northern Arizona (Bullhead City, AZ) tonight. Boy is it hot, 108F (30+ celcius).
Bullhead City, Arizona, United States bengygi... Found the local pub, 75 cent tacos and 75 cent draft beers. Total bill came to $4.83 with the tip. The funny thing about this whole situation is that I didnt have a place to stay so I strolled up to this bar on a really busy night with my bicycle and the trailer. Imagine pulling up to the local bar in your bike where everybody can see you. It was quite a sight to be seen. NO ...

Yes, we had just ate so we weren't craving it but when you see a place called Sweet Sally's you have to stop. From Oatman, we headed up to Sitgreave's pass. I was a little concerned by the looks of it on the map but it turned out to be not a big deal. It was no Hogsback.

The water was cold and refreshing, and we were excited to find our own private little swimming hole. We swam for a short while, then decided to head back to Mooney Falls since we didn't have the water or energy to continue on to the Colorado River.
Havasupai, Arizona, United States mlbalmeoAfter walking through the narrow part of the canyon, we were both tired, and the day was getting increasingly hotter, forcing us to rest more frequently. After about six miles, the canyon widened and we were much more exposed to the sun that was nearing overhead. After a brief walk through the open area, the terrain began to change again, with the foliage becoming thicker. We began to hear running water, and it wasn't long before we ...

These images, taken from the canyon bottom, capture the beauty of the shaded canyon walls against the blue sky, flowing between the rigid edges of the canyon cliffs like the river that likely rushed in the same pattern thousands of years ago. The contrast and the parallel: light and dark, top and bottom, but two rivers, just the same.

The Golden Nugget, which is one of the oldest casinos, has had a major refit and now has the same tan leather upholstery as the Bellagio, so it's aiming for the same clientele. Between the strip and downtown is still grotty though so I was glad there was a really good bus service which ran back and forth. All too soon it was Sunday though and we were off, heading out of the USA and into Canada. Vancouver here we come!
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States mattandsashaWhile Carolyn set off on a trip-of-a-lifetime to the Grand Canyon, by helicopter, the remaining gang went to the MGM Grand Hotel to visit the lions. As well as viewing the bigger lions, Dianna and Becca met a cub, and had their photo taken. We also visited Ceasar's Palace Hotel, and saw the fountains at Bellagio. Later in the afternoon we enjoyed the pool and sun at ...
