Hey, Well here I am and I have managed to get myself logged into this page, I'm doing well. The trip so far has been fantastic, I'm so glad to be here. The only thing missing in this country is Phil! The flight i dreaded but it turned out not to be so bad. The airport was hard saying goodbye to Phil but its not for long. I had no one beside me on the Londaon LA flight so didn't use the voice at all which had completely gone and I leaving Ireland. I slept for 9 hrs from LA to NZ, thank God for...

Queenstown, New Zealand antheasavageI was lucky enough to be met by Steve from the airport on my arrival into Auckland and I took up his kind offer of staying at his place once I had decided that he definitely wasn't an axe murderer, although I think he could be quite dangerous with a safety pin. Steve's helicopter business primarily deals with taking reporters or photographers to deal with news stories, so pretty exciting stuff. He was kind enough to act as my Auckland guide whilst I stayed there but didn't mention Sheepworld ...
Auckland, New Zealand bernadineI feel like it's time to move on now at least away from the Queenstown campsite and the immediate area. I thought I might enjoy spending my New Years Eve in Queenstown, but the campsite I am staying is getting a little too crowded and the lines for the showers have been ridiculous. I know it's sounds like I am complaining and not taking advantage of the opportunity to explore the natural wonders of the area, but I prefer to do my exploring when it's a little warmer. The average high daily tem...
Mt Cook Village, New Zealand drmnsdSo, on Tuesday we left Te Anau in Fiordland for a long drive north to Aoraki, or Mount Cook, another national park and world heritage area. After an important stop at Amisfield winery in Queenstown to stock up on their award winning Pinot Noir and breakfast in nearby Arrowtown we hit the road proper. We also stopped off at A J Hackett's famous bungy location - only to watch though, couldn't drum up the courage to have a go - we've got photographs of the fools throwing themselves off the bridg...
Aoraki Mount Cook National Park, South Island, New Zealand howiegt19.05.09: We got our new wheels this morning. We do not forget Marilyn obviously but we are happy with our new Toyota Corolla! Sean wants to call her Betsy...I think it is too boring! We drove in the suburbs of Christchurch, near Sumner and went up the hill to have a great view of the whole bay and the harbour (Y a d'la bobine P'pa!!) We continued our drive toward like Tekapo, a beautiful lake with amazing colours with the snowy mountains in the background. Unfortunately, it was a cloudy day....
Mt. Cook Village, South Island, New Zealand leprefrogTo our avid readers... This entry is for you. I am exhausted, but we are off on our 5 day trek through Milford tomorrow morning and will be offline for a while, so in order to catch you up on our travels, here I am... 9:30pm in a small Internet cafe on Shotover St. in Queenstown, now don't be expecting any pics yet as I'll have to take care of that on our return. So where were we... oh yes, Auckland. We arrived in Christchurch at 9am and were met by a very nice man who gave us all of our pape...
