... odds and ends all hand made. Then went to Silkstone to see Targets dad Boydie and the boxer family. Had. Few more laughs and then back to Tankersley Manor where we met up with Margaret and Robert for dinner. Weather is terrible cold and wet and forecasting snow for tomorrow . We woke reasonably early again today after we both slept like logs, we definitely needed a good nights sleep. ... stop we then went to Kay's where we will be staying for the next 5 months. It was only a brief introduction as we dropped off our luggage and went to the pub for lunch. The folk at the pub looked a bit rough but the meals weren't too bad and they were fairly cheap. After lunch we went back to Kay's to unpack our bags and get ourselves settled in. We had read about a Viking display in the heart of York which we were lucky enough to stumble across. Local archaeologists had discovered an incredible amount of evidence to suggest that a Viking settlement existed there after a large building was demolished in 1976 and an archaeological dig was started.
