I'm spending two weeks in Birmingham! And my niece and nephew are awesome! Ava now gets me put her to bed every night! It's great! And this time she'll remember me! I made a pavlova with her and that went very well! We've also gone to some indoor play places which she has really enjoyed. she likes showing me what she can do! Saturday we went to a beer festival! It ...

The Brummies revenge

The next lock downstream required some finagling and the assistance of some veteran river cruisers. One upper gate leaked so badly, the water pressure kept the lower gates from opening. After the problem was solved, we proceeded to Bidford-on-Avon and a nice Sunday Dinner at The Bridge Riverside Eaterie. Again, no reservations, but we were seated promptly and got ...

What a spectacular sunny April day, we have been so lucky with the weather while we have been here. So off we headed to Twyning in the Cotswolds where Fiona and her husband Alan live with there two dogs, Faith and Roxy. We first met Fiona in the Cook Islands back in 1988 while we were all staying at the The Dive Hostel. We ended up travelling to Mexico together with Penny, Lauren ...
