    ... into IL along route 80, crossing the Mississippi River. Just south of Chicago, the road went from our comfortable 2 lane divided highway to 6 lanes with lots of “exit only lanes” Yikees!! Give us back the Loneliest Road in America. After getting by the suburbs of Chicago, the road went back to the two lanes – much better.

    ... Wednesday morning. Leaving is kinda a bummer because it's one of my last times to hang with the Seniors. Other than hanging around, I'll be planning things to do in the 31 hour car ride, which will probably consist of stocking up on podcasts (Ear Biscuits and Movie Fights are some good ones) and creating some killer music playlists.

    ... and took off. When we got in the car we had driven a total of 252.9 miles since we left Bethesda and driven about 4.5 hours. Today we’ve driven through Pennsylvania, into Ohio (home of THE O-H-I-O University), past Cleveland (shout out to Gal and Wass), past Toledo (beautiful in the distance, perched on the edge of Lake Erie), into Indiana (birthplace of my Grammie!), and onwards.
