I myself have taken to laughing hysterically at my friend's fury as the unseen motorcycle keeps doing its circles.

The one small comfort we have is the television in the corner of our room. We lie here watching a replay game from two years ago of Arsenal vs Hull with Van Persie in an Arsenal shirt.

There may be bed bugs but on principle, we refuse to check,

... Thai alphabet is attributed, we paused to sample Sukothai's signature dish, their own version of noodle soup. With pickled cabbage, peanuts and pork skin added to the basic recipe, it made for an interesting twist on standard noodle soup. ... Despite my vocal opinions - I'm just a farang what do I know ? - the tuk-tuk drops us off at the wrong place. It is abig bus station now with several terminals depending upon your destination and the company you are travelling with. We have to carry our baggage across a busy road to get to our bus which is in and ready for us already. We board straight away just to get the aircon.
21:00 and we off on our way south. Goodbye Chiangmai for another year or ...

... down. A fantastic morning on the sea. It was HOT on the bus ride from the ferry dock on the other side to the train station, and took about an hour. The little fans didn't seem to be doing much.
