Today’s Coventry has a wonderful Transport Museum, full of old and new designs of wheeled vehicles, including Queen Mary’s Daimler; cars by Jaguar, Triumph, Morris, Rover and others; and the vehicle that holds the world record for fastest land speed, the ThrustSSC. It has two jet engines. I had a fantastic ride in the simulator, reaching a speed of 763 mph (1228 kmph), faster than its own sound. Great fun!
