          and wandering round our NY neighbourhood and the centre of town......we loved the little yellow school buses, the tiled train names, the steam, the bridges.....really we loved it all, and only made it halfway through our to-do list! So we'll have to come back.

          ... the Museum of Natural History. This was probably my favorite place, next to the Rockefeller. There is so much there, we didn't even get to see it all before closing.
