      Today we headed uptown to 86th Street for our first work meeting. The two women Suzanne and Andrea were both instrumental in the first Common Ground which began in Times Square housing 652 homeless people. They have left that project however and now work as consultants in their own business Housing Innovations. Shockingly 54,000 people are homeless in the streets of New York.       ... of New York was amazing the energy New York had on me was great, I love how everywhere you look, you see everyone walking and how the big buildings light up. There was traffic everywhere, Now I understand why everyone was walking cars beeping, people selling newspapers it was what I have always dreamed off, big buildings, yellow taxi, the smell of New York was terrible but its New York I loved it.

      Today I hopped on the bus to take our tour of the city. First, I noticed the city is a bit smelly....ok a lot smelly. It is to the point that when a pleasant smell crosses my path, it stands out! ha

      Cannot get over all the tall buildings and people....people everywhere!

      I took a boat tour out to the Statue of Liberty. The people watching was as good as the statue seeing! People from all over the world!
