... to find another place to have a couple of drinks, but it can be hard in Yamaguchi because many of the small bars are hostess bars, which we really didn`t want to accidentally walk into. Eventually we found a little wine bar where we had a couple of drinks and then went back to the hotel. Mizue was picking us up at 8:20am the next morning to take us to the station where we would catch our train to Hiroshima so we had a bit of an early ...

The front person spoke very good English and helped us with our bags to our room. We get settled and then headed out to see Yudaonsen street, which is where I spent a lot of my time when I was in University here. I showed Lane a couple of the places we used to go and then went to see the Yudaonsen Station where there is ...

... can get bad fortunes and so what you do is you tie the paper to a tree and it will stop that bad fortune from coming true. Our next stop was the only catholic church in Yamaguchi, the St. Francis Xavier church. The architecture of it is very different from the average church back home. It was made to look like a tent. It is a functioning church and also below is a museum with the history of how a Spanish missionary came to build a church in Japan ...
