          Nice Hotel great location

The Grace Hotel is an art deco building from 1912ish. Very nice condition. Old World feeling inside. Its now a hotel considered for its location. 10 minutes walk to the Rocks, 5 minutes to Darling Harbor. It is one block away from the main street George Street. the rooms are comfortable and quiet. Bathroom is huge like it used to be in the old days. Reception staff spotty.

          Elegance and service

          from

Beautiful art-deco feel to this hotel that goes 100% to give the personal touch.

A great place to go if you want to avoid a 'chain-hotel'.

          Go to the Grace

          from

The Grace is one of those hotels that feel good the moment you walk through the doors. It is a 5 minute walk from Darling Harbour, 1 block from shops whichever way you walk and the staff are very helpful. We found the 4 different restaurants attached to the hotel sufficient to prevent us from straying very far when food was required. Really recommend Paddy O'Briens if you like the old style British pub, food was good too, you really have to try the kangaroo it was cooked to perfection. With its own pay launderette staying a week without having to take too many clothes was great - more room for shopping in the bags!!

          Excellent service!

          from

Spent the entire weekend at the Grace in March 2004 and loved it! HUGE room which was also very quiet and the service was amazing - they kept my luggage for me overnight while I went out of town for 2 days. Excellent location for doing shopping as well.

          Grace is great

          from

Probably one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in, in the world. Fantastic room, excellent location as it is a short walk to all the sights. However telephone calls home are VERY expensive.

          Give this a miss

          from

Whilst the Grace Hotel is OK as regards facilities etc. the Reception Staff stink. Particularly the manager in charge on the morning of 15th Feb 2004.

I have never encountered such a bunch of jobsworths who were also rude and smarmy. The whole lot of them should be given the sack.

The other staff at the hotel were fine and could teach them a lesson.

          Great Hotel

          from

Great beds, great service, great location. Excellent value, and central to everything in downtown Sydney.

          A Great Place To Stay

          from

A lovely hotel with excellent well equipped rooms, helpful staff, a convenient downtown location and fabulous breakfasts. A great place to see the city from.

          Great rooms

          from

Great rooms, but the Deli Cafe is expensive and the food isn't all that good, quite greasy.

Grace Hotel very nice but expensive

          from

The hotel was very very nice. The rooms were great. The pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room were very nice as well. Everything was great. I would rather stay in someplace a little less expensive however and have a few less amenities. We were booked here by a travel agent and if I did it again, I would save a little money and stay elsewhere. The location was hard to beat, however. A 10 minute walk to the Darling Harbor aquarium.

          Staying with grandma

          from

The grace is a grand old lady who has recently been given a new lease of life through refurbishment. The old means that the rooms are spacious with high ceilings and big windows and the refurbishment means bringing out all the old Art Deco in the public areas and putting in great big modern bathrooms.Breakfast might not be anything special and the tour groups might hang around the public areas a bit, but the Grace is bang in the centre of the shopping area, next to the CBD and within walking distance of that heavenly harbour.

Sometimes staying with grandma can be quite fun.

          Dag 1

One of the great journeys of the world is to sail into Sydney Harbour, our version of this is to get the ferry to Manly. We get a great view of the Opera House and the The Bridge.

Manly was quite quiet we have a wander through the main street which is a causeway between the calm harbour waters and the pacific ocean. Unfortunately it was …

As a thank you, Hayley and Ian had bought Tom a bridge climb. So we booked it this morning as the weather looked ok.

6 of us in the group following our safety talk and instructions how to wear the onesie cap and harness we set off. Only to be told I had to change my shoes ahhhh as they were slip ons I might fling them over the side. …

Well if a few days in Hong Kong was supposed to help our jet lag it didn't work. We are knackered. Its a bit weird feeling like we are a day missing. Any how we eventually get going and go exploring. Breakfast in a coffee shop by the hotel. We sit inside as we need the internet lucky choice as the heavens open and we watch on as people run for …
