    Theresa drove us to Gatwick for 9 am so as to be first in the queue for check-in (no on-line check-in for Vietnamese Airlines). Then through Security where my bangle set off the alarm and a polite lady guard had to frisk me.

    Spent an interesting couple of hours in the departure lounge for breakfast and in my case browsing before boarding at noon.

    So arriving in London there was a need for breakfast. We knew where to go. Nice restaurant in Gatwick Airport called Giraffe. So, two fried eggs, two herbed bangers, two back bacon, fried tomato, baked beans and fried potato. Best cup of tea served in a mini Brown Betty. ...

    ... It's also challenging when you have no idea where the heck you're going and you don't have a mobile phone yet so you rely on a physical map.
