... Venice was dotted with castles and citadels, all looking majestic on hilltops in the distance. In Venice the car drop off was just across the road from the taxi stand and within minutes we’re on the canals - magic!

What a lovely place, oozing architecture and old Venetian style - it was lovely! We drove, it took around 40 mins and headed straight into the tourist area. The Arena is spectacular inside and for this performance of Aida the stage was set so that about one third of the seats were empty and had become part of the staging.
