... I am looking forward to this experience in Thailand.

I have heard of many great things about Thailand and is looking forward to it. It will be exciting for me. I believe that this experinence abroad I would likely experience something I have never heard or seem before. This would be one of the cultural changes, I would likely benefits from Thailand.

Nach der hitzigen und kargen Wuestenlandschaft des Death Valley sind wir heute zurueck ins Baumland des Sequoia National Parks...Hallo Baumbart?!

Im Giant Forest gibt es unzaehlige Riesenbaeume, die wirklich jedes Auto winzig erscheinen lassen. Hier steht auch der groesste Baum der Welt (General Sherman :-)). Er ist zwar nicht der hoechste und auch nicht der breiteste, aber sein Gesamtstammvolumen (1500 m3) ist unuebertroffen.

We rode the famous Highway 1 today. Beautiful. The Big Sur section is incredible. We are coming to the end of our big drives...I'm really going to miss it.

The part of Fresno we are staying in is eerily quiet...almost like a zombie movie build up...

So beenden wir heute einen gemütlichen sightseeingfreien Tag und fahren morgen über den Sequoia Nationalpark nach Bakersfield, das heißt, wenn wir nicht gleich nach Bakersfield fahren zum "Shopping die Zweite". Außerdem muss Sewy morgen noch was umtauschen, das passiert auch, wenn man den Mann beim Einkaufen alleine lässt....

Und heute eine bärenfreie gute Nacht...

Sat 29th Aug

Picked up the hire car at 9am sat morning from the worst hire company, the car wasn't clean, the tyre pressure was dodgy and they hadn't even filled the car with 'gas', So we had to find the other hire company in SF.

Fulled up and ready to head out on our road trip, first stop would be Yosemite park some 160 miles west. Some beautiful views all the way ...

... bear! Afterwards we went to Grant Grove to so see some Sequoias Trees. The following day we went to Sequoia National Park. The kids finished the young Ranger program and repeated their promises after the Ranger. They received a lovely badge and were really pleased with themselves. ... stopped at a little "hole in the wall" tavern just outside the entrance to Lost Lake that makes fantastic tacos. A few other patrons were there, but one in particular was a character. He had some connection to the Hell's Angels motorcycle club. He noticed our bikes when we pulled in and struck up a conversation (actually it was more like a monologue-his monologue). ... sea level. This was anoth** massive space of salt but this time flat and resembled an ice rink. We walked around for a while and took some pictures including a sign on a nearby mountain that signified wh**e sea level was. It was strange to see how far below it we w**e. We didn't stay for too long and soon returned to our hotel to escape the 82 degree heat, despite it being relatively mild compared to the 130 heat they're not unknown to get h**e. ... we had found the Magpie Coffeehouse. It was located just south of the corner or Main and Market(on Market). The food that was being offered hit the spot perfectly. We both had cups of hot chocolate, which washed down a couple of freshly baked cinnamon rolls. It was exactly what we were looking for. I have to give a big recommendation for the Magpie Coffeehouse.
