... Abend dort wieder die Hölle los ist. Die Reise nach Bendigo war auch kürzer als erwartet. Unterwegs wurde ich in Swan Hill, der Heimat von Simon, aufgegabelt. War also 2 Stunden Zugfahrt we*****, plus es gab einen „kleinen" Snack dazu. Der Snack war am Ende ein „BBQ Chicken Schnitzel Burger“, die schönste Kombination dieser vier Worte, die ich jemals gesehen hab. War auch fast schon notwendig, weil ich für einen Tag in Mildura ...

So after weeks of being trapped indoors due to my major fear of locusts, we decided it was time for a change.

After doing a search for cheap rental properties around Australia, I found a little town called Zeehan, which had 3 huge national parks surrounding it and the cheapest houses around. I sent a text off to my man and after that the planning started.

Bendigo is considered "country" by Melbournites (Melbourners?). A pretty little city with a population of 150K about 1 1/2 hours northwest of Melbourne, it definitely has a charm of its own.
