Today I am really angry with myself.  And disappointed.  I slept in and missed the Queen's Speech at Whitehall for Remembrance.  On the 100th anniversary too.  All because I thought sleep was important.  What I found odd though, other than actually wanting to cry cause I missed it, was that coming to ...

So we prowled the dark back streets trying to find civilization. Alas, a pub loomed into sight like an oasis in the desert - and it was no mirage. The folks of Witney were so helpful and kind ...

... never predict the effect the weather would have on your mood. All this grey skies and rain which keeps you indoors or running for cover does your head in. It's not like at home when you have 3 days of heavy rain at the worst time in winter and then you have no rain. This is a light rain and is constant. It's depressing and I see what the people back home were talking about now. If it's like this in summer, imagine what it's like in winter!
