... seen before...a camera is mounted on top of the plane and you can kind of see what the pilots see. The food is amazing. When the attendant came by to take my order, I asked for some bread as an appetizer. She told me I didn't need to choose an appetizer, then they brought me one of everything on the menu! ... in the center of Grant Park where we ate our lunch on a bench in the sunshine. The Buckingham Fountain is pretty darn big so it was no surprise to find out later that it is one of the largest in the world. The fountain does regular water shows and light shows in the evening - I would have liked to have seen that!
There were a lot of students in their graduation cap and gowns - obviously a popular spot for their photos!
Next stop was a short walk ...
... muffins and some hot food. Maggie became a true Texan, having a waffle in the shape of the Lone Star state as well as hominy grits - ground white corn which looked and apparently tasted like gritty porridge or semolina, with the consistency of polenta. She came unstuck with the milk choices, though - opting for skinny milk rather than what the Americans refer to as "2%" - actually milk with 2% fat, but Maggie decoded it differently and deemed it to be 2% milk, 98% water. ...
... Suites Inn were not overselling themselves when they gave it that name. It's incredibly narrow facade is 25 stories high, and the top few floors only have five suites apiece. I'd barely had time to explore our huge apartment (almost the size of the condo I'm in in Winnipeg) when Jill knocked on the door. It was a happy reunion, and so great to see her again. We marvelled at the view from our 23rd floor windows, right over the Chicago River, and straight down the Magnificent ...
... to the bloodstream much more rapidly than the physique can eliminate them. This issue is known as Herxheimer response.
