... Detroit to be told that the plane for our flight to Chicago was still on the ground at Cincinnati but it was boarding - our flight would probably be an hour late!! Us being us we retired to a bar and had a calming glass of wine!!!

We got to our hotel about 5:30 and then took some time to sit still. It was after 6:00 when we decided to head out. First we went in search of the Unfinished Hofbrau House Chicago. ... It was interesting - a bit like pulled pork, but not not with a powerful BBQ flavour / sauce texture.

We followed our dinner up with some port (Sharon) and scotch (me!). I got a 16 year old Longmorn, a distillery / dram I have never tried. I was pleasently surprised as it was very good - great way to end our dining experience.

Eventually we wandered back to our hostel to prepare ourselves for the final day of Chicago ... and for cheese pie! (deep dish pizza)

... downstairs for more drinks. Mikhaila then “whipped” up some of
the most delicious Pad Thai I've ever had. After heading back to the
roof deck for a bit, I tuckered out early and went to bed. Chad and
our hosts proceeded to have a dance party on the roof. Needless to
say, Chad woke up with a little bit of a hurtin' on him the next
morning.
