Meandering around

... to Blakeney – again me and John have been there before, but mum and dad haven’t, we look round the book sale and then a small craft fair before taking a stroll along the harbour.

Last stop for dinner before going back was in Wells-next-the-sea where we go into Whin Hill Cider shop. Mum, dad and John taste some ciders and ma and pa purchase a couple of bottles. Fish and chips for dinner tonight – yum!

... which was ordered to be destroyed, along with many others, during the dissolution of the monasteries commanded by Henry VIII in 1537. The audio guide tells you about the history of the priory and also tells a story from a monks point of view of living in the monastery and after. During the tale of the monk, there are various points where monks chanting can be heard in the background – I really like this 'music', it’s haunting and really brought the place to ...

Ken Dead!!

... Now and then he mentioned the fact that it was going to be a late night and even mentioned 2am. I looked at my watch it was 7:45. If I was not mistaken the couple sitting next to Helen had dropped off to sleep and the women next to me was sitting stone faced and not amused. Helen however was sniggling at my own stone face and little gripes, as well as my glaces back to Vera Lynn behind me. When Ken cracked another joke my upper lip curled half a mm and five ...

A hi-octane fuelled seaside weekend

... changes remarkably well, and although only a tiny percentage of foreigners will be familiar with the place, daytrippers from the Midlands still descend on the place as if it were their second home. The highlight of this trip was an evening of entertainment at the local Stock Car racing arena, with an extravaganza of sorts lined up for all to appreciate. Various events ranging from domino-style car toppling, to monster truck car ...

The day after…

... fairing and some scratches on either side. Several fairing mounts were trashed as was the front suspension where the forks attach to the frame, but the cast aluminum forks and everything but the rim itself looked to be in pretty good shape and there was no damage visible to the frame or drive train of the bike. In fact, it even started up pretty easily. Overall, it certainly didn’t look like a write off, and it should be easily repairable ...

... back yard of the venue having a beer and smoking. And Magnus still a bit hyped after the gig, I guess. We agreed upon that a person has to do their own thing and trust that it is good – you are the only one who do it that way. Trying to copy someone else makes only bad imitators. I had the same insecurity for a long long time whih prohibited me from doing the thing I love the most: The selfdoubt that will I ever be a real photographer – whatever that means… I had set up ...

MAY DAY Bit of a later start than we had hoped….but finally got going later afternoon (ended up sending out last minute wedding invites!) It's raining …what’s new!? We headed north, and took the A1. It’s a pretty wet day, and as we drove through Sandringham (past Sandringham House where there is a Royal Military base!) Huge gate…but it was so wet we didn ...

Today we had a big party at my Dad's allotment to say goodbye to us and to celebrate mine and my Dad's Birthdays. The weather was great and everybody turned up: Me, Mum, Dad, Katie, Carmel, Paul, Dan, Caroline, Craig, Shona, Rich, Gee, Becks, Pete, Linda and more. We all ate food drank beer and chatted till the sun went down then we lit a massive bonfire. By the time it had burnt down most people started filtering off home and it ...
