... that they wouldn't let the plane leave without me!! Fortunately one of the little golf carts that is intended to move handicapped saw me and realized what was happening. As Jeff and Morganne sprinted out of sight, I caught a ride in the golf cart. I knew they couldn't leave without me - I had the tickets! Jeff made it first, followed very closely by Morganne - then me in the golf cart. We told them to wait - that another ...

London, England, United Kingdom dadubtek... to make it lighter. The second painting is the one we viewed in the National Gallery. Brian particularly enjoyed the gallery of Monet's Impressionist paintings. My favorite was Van Gogh's Sunflower because the art teacher at our school teaches our kids about this piece of artwork and has them recreate it every year. We were very impressed after visiting all of the Galleries and staying until close. After visiting the museum we decided to take ...
London, England, United Kingdom naslund13... I'll finish off with a lovely photo of my tooth! The first one I've had out (and hopefully the last), and I was fortunate that it came out in one and hasn't caused me any trouble (so far and fingers crossed). I don't know whether to keep it as a lucky charm, or maybe sell it to a medicine man in a far off country...
Uxbridge, Middlesex, United Kingdom watchoutworldOh. My. Goodness. Today was: TKTS booth, British Museum, British Library (in which all the cool exhibits were closed so I will be going back tomorrow), South Bank and Jubilee Walk, Backstage Tour of National Theatre, Avenue Q. All superb. The highlight? Guess. I almost cried standing on the stage of the Olivier Theatre where Dame Judi Dench, Sir Ian Mckellen, Peter O'Toole, and Lawrence Olivier have all performed. If it weren't for all the other people, I probably would ...
London, United Kingdom darynj1216... Commodore club is just grand!) are tastefully done and nothing stood out to me as being odd or out of place. The staterooms are well appointed, efficient, comfortable and spacious even in the lowest grades. We are in an A2 category balcony and could easily stay here for several weeks. We dined in the Queens Grill for an exceptional dinner with flawless service. Those who are familiar with QE2 will be happy to know that Kevin the sommelier, a 14 ...

Then we had a bit of dinner and we saw a comedy show in the West End. It was entertaining enough, but not hysterically funny. It was just nice to spend time with Ross and go out in London, which I don't do very often.
London, United Kingdom amyandersonTrip to London overnight was comfortable and pleasant. We arrived just before dawn. I felt excited at finally reaching the United Kingdom. There are so many influences in my childhood that were derived from Mother England. Guided through the airport and met briefly then driven to my hotel by a driver. Already the people impressed me with a courtesy and cheerfulness that is slightly understated. The landmass is very different to ...
