... the longest pleasure pier in the world measuring 1.34 miles (or 2.16 km) in length. The current iron pier opened in 1887 and it would have been a shame not to walk to the very end, despite the windy and damp conditions. A train is also available for those that do not want to walk but being unemployed the £1.00 'Winter Walkers' entrance fee was all we paid.

There was just so much to see and do, so we went and had lunch to keep us going. We looked at everything, and walked everywhere, we were so impressed with all the exhibitions. What do you give someone that has everything? Lions, and Tigers and Bears-oh my!, Snakes, Monkeys, a Polar Bear and a Elephant. Now the ...

We went to an English beach today.

The beach was rocky, with hardly any sand. Dad and I skimmed rocks out onto the water because there were no waves.
We went to the longest pier in the world. We caught a train from the beach to the end of the pier and Amber and I ran back and Myum and Dad walked. The pier is 2.16kms long.
We had fish and chips and a sparkling apple juice for lunch there.

They are so sweet and the evaporated milk makes them so rich. you can also buy balot, hard boiled eggs with a chick inside. An acquired taste. There is also a statue of Rizal in the plaza but I haven't seen it before so will seek it out. Also in town i want to visit St Joseph Cathedral and Belltower. I have seen it but never stopped to have a ...

... it's not even worth us trying to get down to see the New Years in down there, in the pouring rain, with the banana flavoured confetti and strawberry smelling fireworks. We make the call to watch movies, music and the fireworks display in the comfort of Baz's home, letting the children stay up as long as they like. Mac makes it to 10.10pm, and OUT for the count. Julia 11.20, but we wake her to watch the fireworks on TV. We toast the New Years, HAPPY 2014!!!! A really lovely evening ...
