Our stay in the United Kingdom this time is only about five days. We had travelled fairly extensively throughout the British Isles on our last trip and we always had planned to head South. After leaving Gloucester we by chance came across the Morgan Car Factory, after a drive through The Malverns, a beautiful area in South Worcestershire.
Morgans are still completely hand made, with either steel or aluminium chassis and wooden frames (made of Ash). They come in 4 or 8 cyl motors in convertible or sedan configuration, or the 3-wheeler which has a 115hp motor in 4 cyl.
Well, here it is, the long day trek from Winchcombe to Broadway. Estimated to be 20+km. It just happened to also be a bank holiday here in England and there was a once in a year steam train festival with steam train trips from Cheltenham to Laverton and back. An early start to the day but it was not going to help. We were supposed to be in Bath by 10.00. We had traffic delays and roadworks, detours and squeezing along narrow roads.
