On our last day there I decided to go by myself to see Tane Mahuta, an enormous Kauri tree in the forest. It was pretty damn impressive (51m tall, which I think means Usain Bolt can run straight to the top of it in under 5 seconds) but alas, I have no photos to show you, so if you really care that much, do a Google image search of Tane Mahuta. ... I told her to slowly lower herself down and swim on top very carefully and not to look down. Did she listen? No! She looked down and panicked so much she lost the ability to think rationally. Unable to control her arms she looked like a drowned mole rat but she was in fact having an anxiety attack.
