... of water plants. Lilies of all shapes and sizes, native trees and ferns and a beautiful waterfall set amongst rock that was older the rocks in Auckland. Basalt rock about 650 million years old compared to volcanic rock in Auckland. I would thoroughly recommend camping in a motorhome to anyone, and Australia and New Zealand are particularly well equipped to make it easier to do so. So it was sad to hand it back, after 3 months it had started to feel like home. But where we are going next it ...

... day of challenges. Auckland has a Sky Tower which towers over all the skyscrapers and from which you can jump and shoot down a zip wire. Hazel has wanted to do it for as long as we've been planning the trip but has become increasingly nervous as the day approaches. And so it was with a nervous tension in the air and a decent breakfast in the belly that we walked down the hill and through the city to the looming tower. Things started well as she suited up and went up ...
