... and tried to eat one handed. Kind of lowers the tone when you have to cut up steak for grown men. We had a nice chilled evening with a few cheeky bevies and then retired to bed. Day 2: After a relaxing start to the day, we head on up to Blenheim. ... myself kayaked around 3 of them. We were lucky as it was the only day while we were there that wasn't really windy so kayaking was good fun. That night I had my first decent homemade meal. Steak and mash potatoes. First time I've ever cooked steaks on a BBQ (or ever) but they were pretty delicious if I say so myself. And I do. I'm not really in Auckland just yet, just bored in Shanghai airport waiting for my flight, but I wanted the map above to show that I'm a' cummin' home!

Thought I'd share with you my impressions of the last 11 days, bearing in mind I have yet to see China outside of the 2 cities I visited.

So here goes:-
Shanghai is the largest proper city by population in the world, and it looks like it!

There are no birds in Shanghai (or Xi'an for that matter)
