    ... arrival of Captain James Cook. We are going to the museum tomorrow to learn more of their history. Tonight we did our washing but did not see the sign when the laundry room closed at 10am....our laundry has been impounded until 9am tomorrow.....we must read the notices...we are still learning about the hostel way of life.     ... a few mins walk from our current place. We would love to buy our own place but our hands are frustratingly tied. Auckland's property market is ridiculously out of control.     ... level none of this makes much sense to me because if the purpose of the written language was to aid communication between the British and Maori why develop a whole new set of phonetic rules? If however the purpose was to create a written language that was distinctly attached to a specific culture and was most definitely not English then it was quite brilliant.
