... use to carry up furniture. They cant get it up the stair because their appartments are so thin - there is taxing on how many square feet of ground space you take up, so people optimize their space vertically. Which means they cant get their furniture up the stair haha. I also did a bike tour of the city which was really interesting.

The weekend after I visited Amsterdam, I got to visit a nearby town (in Friesland) with the son of the dutch people I was staying ...

... too, although had no idea when making the booking that the hotel was located on the street known for gay leather clubs (I promise it was a coincidence).

Since it was still afternoon I thought I'd go and do some exploring. I took a sightseeing map I'd made before leaving home, and headed off through the streets. It's strange how, every time I walk past a coffee house, there's a strong, sweet smell coming from it. I guess it must be the cakes and Dutch pancakes ...
