... morning place. And after the late game, everyone must have still been asleep. The streets, which are normally very clean, were trashed from partiers (though the street crew were out trying to clean everything up).

On the last day of the trip, we went to the Anne Frank Museum. It was so touching and bone chilling. It was unreal to walk about the house that Anne Frank and 7 others were hiding for so long. I was shocked at how well preserved all the rooms were. I was able to understand how stressful and tight the times were. The museum was made to remember and celebrate a bright girl ...
... and were too early for check in so we unloaded our bikes and went for a ride around town. We rode and rode in no particular direction, along the canals and through a giant square. We then came to some road works and were directed right through a detour and found ourselves in the red light district. Well I think it was the red light district. It was the long stretch of alley ways filled with 'coffee' bars and magic mushroom shops. We had a look in a couple of shops ...
... some pool again and met people and then played against them too. We then left to walk to the central station to get a train to the airport, there we then got on our plane and flew to basel. At around 11 we were still waiting for our suitcase, which eventually came and we could finally make our way to gillians apartment. And because its switzerlands birthday on the 1st of august, there were still fireworks going off when we got home at around 12. There we fell into bed and slept.
... a little sight seeing and last minute shopping before catching the plane home on Thursday afternoon. Unfortunately Shirley has come down with a bit of a cold which has been annoying for her with coughing and the usual nose running, hopefully it will pass quickly. There have been quite a lot of people on the tour with coughs, so not too surprising but still annoying.
Maybe one more blog before then but that will depend upon inclination and also internet access!!
