We are now at a campsite in Poole for a couple of nights before the grand depart on Saturday morning......feeling chilled with a glass of wine and wondering what the next few months have in store for us.

We have spent the past three days in north Devon. Our gracious hosts, my cousin and her
husband drove us from Crowborough to Devon to see my cousin’s brother. This was a distance of about 250 miles past a number of scenic sites, including Stonehenge. "There's a place to turn around, hang on, what does that sign say?" Caravan club certified location. Result. In through the gate, motorhome set up, perfect. A 5 minute walk to one of the best beaches we've seen in a while, no neighbours and all for the princely sum of 7. Sometimes its good not to have a ...

      • Well we have finally left Pearls, thought it best before she went to the expense of having the locks changed! She has been a great hostess and we appreciate her hospitality. Anyway I digress. Our route took us passed Ross on Wye, through the Wye Valley and Monmouthshire. After a week in Birmingham its so easy to forget how beautiful the countryside is just a short drive out of the city. We ...
