Thursday, November 12th

We faked out Hurricane Ida by zipping up into Alabama for two days staying at Dothan's Flying Jay Truck Plaza where we got super rained on. We did laundry, took showers, filled up with diesel and got groceries. All set for whatever Ida wanted to throw at us.... She changed her course from heading straight into Florida to breaking into multiple tropical storms heading into the Carolinas. We slipped ...

A few pictures from today's activities, tomorrow, we move away from the coast as we start the trip back to Atlanta and the end of the journey for this year, but for just one more night we will go to sleep to the sound of the Ocean.

As much of yesterday was a driving day, not really much to report, we only have a few pictures from along the way. Today we are off to Daytona International Speedway, which is the Sister track of Talladega Superspeedway. Hopefully a chance to drive along the beach.

He hopped in for three of the fastest laps he wll ever go in a car. The car was trvelling at 180mph which is 300kph. As the car goes up on the bank Mark felt about 4 to 5 Gs of force. He said it was incredible to think so many cars try to get by each other at those speeds on a track which is only 3 cars wide. He came back in with a huge smile on his face and said it was a great experience.

We found our Georgia brewery very easy, it was right in front of where we parked. Blue Moon brewing company, This is where Jessica had her favorite beer as of yet, Wild Wacky Wit.
