A budget choice. Some 70ies charme, fading carpets, a little more thorough cleaning would do some good. Ok for one night.

Leider müssen wir unser schönes Hotel jetzt wieder verlassen und machen uns früh auf Richtung Waiotapu, dem großen geothermischen Park (Thermal Wonderland). ... taking me by surprise! I met him as he checked in to the hostel and he was bright pink from sunburn, dumbass had done the Alpine Crossing today without any suntan lotion! ha! We had a brief chat and arranged to meet in the bar later for a good catch up where there was a free bbq.

Turns out the free bbq meant an iceland burger in a slice of bread, but it was food, and it was free!
