Sunday was departure day. We joined a few of the group for breakfast then returned to our room to gather our belongings and load the trailer. The drive to our next destination was only 137 miles so we were not in a hurry. Even in the parking lot, we lounged in the windows of a friend's vehicle to say last farewells.

It feels and is remote but when you ignore the remoteness and look carefully the whole area is nothing more than a small English farm making the best use of its land. It is just that there is so much of it.
There is wheat growing in quantities that is unimaginable. There is oil extraction, gas extraction, pig farming, maize growing. Huge crops that require lots of water ...

Bill was about 1/2 mile ahead today, came round a corner in the middle of the road to find a Ford Mondeo also in the middle of the road. He had to take serious avoiding action and took to the sand. After the bend was a blind brow and as I am climbing the brow, this Mondeo (about the rarest car in the whole of the US) appears. It was not too close to me but one does ...
