Oh boy. Day 3 was an action packed day. Not only did we see the world's largest truck stop (gasp!...and no we didn't visit) we ended up in Lincoln, NE home of the cornhuskers! What a formidable sounding foe. I'm trembling just imaging the terror that they must inspire in their opponents when they step onto the football field (this trip has a lot of football going on....).
Another 8 hours in the car, another portion of America seen from the windows of my car. Fortunately the time passed...

Today started like many a man's dreams have. Yep, at the John Deere Commons. Drool guys, drool. Here there is a nice mini museum covering the line of John Deere farm equipment. And right next door is the John Deere Store. The store has more John Deere items for sale than any Cracker Barrel store I have ever been in. You name it, they have it. Including a very nice set of hand linens ...

Lincoln, Nebraska, United States invisiblecleaWell, it's been a long time planning and it's almost here. I've got only 46 hours left before i leave for France. I do hope you'll join me on my 2 week excursion to Europe. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you may even be appalled, but in any case you'll have nearly as much fun as me (ok, let's be honest, not even close, but you'll be alright). Talk to you soon!!

TTFN
Want a box set of Family Guy dvds? No one would buy the dual cassette tape deck. I wonder if they'll buy the VCR. Any one want a Janet Craig? I hate to wate stuff, but it's easier to just give away. Is there a market for odds and ends ...
Lincoln, Nebraska, United States jessi330... walking around and realized that it must have been move in day recently because there were kids everywhere. We spent some time on their strip and then decided to keep driving instead of staying the night there. We have a long drive to our next stop, Boulder, CO.
Lincoln, Nebraska, United States ryan.r.smith.87... outdoors at an indian restaurant called "The Oven." Everything was prepared to our liking and it was fun to people watch as the locals passed by. Afterwards, we popped in and out of a few stores on the main street and then snapped some photos in the historic haymarket district.
All and all,a wonderfully relaxing day in the mid-west. Stay tuned to hear the latest on our next 450 mile jaunt to.....
Lincoln, Nebraska, United States weilnau... visit with Sally. She enjoys living in LIncoln again. Some of the town's features she likes include the many parks, walking trails, and an excellent public library system.

It was wonderful to be able to sleep in, if just for an extra two hours. I left Sally's house at the extremely "LATE" time of 10:30 am to head east toward St. Louis.

Lincoln, Nebraska, United States saraishness... wait until my next cross country road trip. Other than those bits of excitement, we knocked out a good 8 hours of driving and covered over 400 miles today; I successfully listened to every song in my iPod at least once (it's a shuffle, so there's only about 120 songs in there). There are few things quite as therapeutic as driving with the stereo blasting your favorite songs. If I ...
