When I left London, it was getting dark and I saw the riverfront lights, the London Eye glowing blue, and I determined it would not be long before I came back.

... at the moment so i won't go wake him up to write anything! We hope to update this blog as often as we can, but just don't know how often that will be yet, but please don't worry if we don't update in a while, it just means we are out on safari in the middle of nowhere!

Next job....getting on a plane! Starting to get a bit nervous....should be alright after take-off though (fingers crossed).

From there we detoured to our very good friends, The Phillips, down in Southend; and played with the greatest kid the world has ever seen. From there it was a quick trip over the QE2 bridge into the land of milk and honey - Kent.

You should probably excuse this entire blog entry, due to the fact I'm writing this in September, three months after the actual trip. I'll forget certain things, probably get others completely wrong, so I'll just chuck a ton of photos in instead and hope that helps pass the time. So let's start off were we ended last time ...

Being here in Cheam with Wendy and James is turning out to be very special. I loved my chat with Wendy and James last night about a whole host of things, including the run down of this side of the family. Having never met my mum's mum Joy (passed away before I was born), I was very much taken aback by listening about my grandmother's sister, Gwen. Out of the four girls, both my mum and Wendy have commented on how similar Gwen and Joy were. Therefore, I'm particularly interested in ...

... went to a small but magnificent castle of Bodiam, then to Dover, Stonehenge, Bath, Brighton and to London (twice). The lessons were in the mornings, so I would spend the entire afternoons strolling in the old town, searching for some old albums about Great Britain, chatting with people and learning. It was a great, totally carefree time. I'm thinking of repeating the same thing with French in France and/or Spanish in Spain.
