The Hobbiton movie set was torn down after the LOTR movies, but because of the huge interest, once they started making the Hobbit movies, the ...

... We learnt that for The Lord of the Rings the 44 hobbit holes were created with timber, ply and polystyrene and when they filmed The Hobbit they rebuilt it all with permanent materials. After visiting Bag End (Bilbo and Frodo's house) we ventured to the Green Dragon receiving a free pint at 10:30am!!
