The Straight Through Crew on Koh Phangan

We headed back to Bangkok on the 4th September to meet Harrie. Kate was overwhelmed with excitement and impatience and due to not wearing her glasses ran to the hostel door to hug every traveller as they arrived, man, woman, beard (sorry Harrie) no beard....Luckily by the time the taxi driver located our hostel and Harrie arrived Kate was still just as hyper and tried to give a warm but not overly boisterous welcome hug. In true Harrie style we headed straight out to Koh San for ...

The Thai Islands

A travel blog entry by adventuresofec on Aug 05, 2014

... We met cool people at our hostels and had a couple of fun nights out, but in general Koh Tao was fairly chilled in prep for Koh Phangnan and the intense Full Moon Party!

The full moon party far exceeded our expectations. The hostel we stayed at was great craic, and we took a van to the beach party with a dozen other backpackers from around the globe. But nothing breaks the language barrier on a long drive better than ...

Santhiya Resort & Spa

A travel blog entry by nlmiller55 on May 04, 2014

The rooms (villa) were amazing! Each had a swimming pool with jacuzzi. It had a living area to relax and watch tv. The bathroom was outdoor but under shelter and was so spacious. The bath ...

So to add to our Flashpacker status, at the end of last week we flew from Bangkok to Koh Samui, and then ferried our way to Koh Tao. I say this is the nature of a Flashpacker because most people catch an overnight bus and then ferry across. This would have been the slightly more economical journey plan but we just couldn't face another long journey like that. We had a great travel day on Friday, everything went so smoothly! We didn't know where we were going when we got off the ...

Nitrox dive & inside the wreck!

A travel blog entry by peterprest on Mar 28, 2014

... The great thing about diving in air with a higher oxygen content was that I had gone down with a headache and come up feeling completely refreshed. I have a business idea of nitrox barsfor hungover people as the oxygen cures them right up! On the final dive we had 36% oxygen nitrox and went inside the wreck. The previous dives had built up the excitement for the moment that we popped through the door. Initially I was a little nervous but it was amazing I reeled which was a bit of ...
