... realised it was the first time I had properly relaxed in days loved that place.

A guy called Phil from Halifax joined us on the scooters and then we went to the Full Moon Party on the Sunday night which was mental. Drinks came in buckets and I defo only needed one! If they grow that big, I'm sure there are a couple good sized ones hanging out near the bungalow - which I've decided is good because they can eat the roaches we've seen! Ko Phangan, Thailand unbound

Normally it takes about 2 hours by a speedboat to get from Koh Samui to Koh Tao, but this time waves were so big that we had to jump from one to another, and believe me that doesn't feel exciting. From the first minute I thought I was going to throw up, unfortunately little boy sitting next to me wasn’t even thinking, therefore he nicely deposited his breakfast on the floor in front of everyone.

I booked myself into a tour to go cliff jumping, hiking and snorkeling with sharks. The hike was a slow 45 min saunter along road to the other side of the island. Where we stopped for many breaks because our tour guide was quite out of shape. The snorkeling was good but we didn't see any sharks. The cliff jumping was the highlight. ... the ideal Thai beach, still unspoilt by the crowds. The best thing about Ko Tao though is the snorkeling. We booked on a full day trip and were not disappointed. The water was perfectly calm and translucent and the marine life was fascinating and varied. We stopped at a private beach called Ko Nangyuan. Here, the snorkeling was to die for, the water was so warm and shallow, the fish practically head-butted you!
