OK, made it out of Yellowstone without a personal visit from the grizzlies. 2 days of camping with 3 kids and we survived! The kids were very excited, but it was cold and tiring too! Buffalo to Cody

Moving on up, moving on out,

Still heading west towards Yellowstone Park. Checked the road opening times and it seems the one we need opened yesterday. They still have a lot of snow so hopefully we'll be fine, climbing to 10,000 feet through some of the passes to get through the park.

DAY 5 continued.

I found our hotel -- The Cody -- on Trip Advisor and it was a beaut. A luxury hotel, at least for this cowboy town. Lovely lobby. Lovely rooms. Friendly staff. Good beds. Day 6

We got an early start as we knew we had a long day ahead of us. We took the Buffalo Bill Scenic Byway (US-14) west from Cody to the east entrance of Yellowstone NP. Lovely drive early on a glorious day.
