This morning I woke up early so that I could take the gondola up to Aguille du Midi (3842 meters or 12,605 feet) to get a bird's eye view of Mont Blanc. The first lift left at 08:10 and there was already a line of skiers, climbers, hikers, snow boarders, and me.
