Plymouth, Plymouth, United Kingdom pandakid... could not find our way to the village church so we stopped to ask directions from an elderly woman who was laying out a bric-a-brac stall outside her cottage. As Colin chatted to her, I realised that some of the photos she had taped to the front of the trestle table where strangely familiar.

"Are you collecting for Cambodia by any chance?", I asked. "Yes", was the not altogether unexpected reply "My son runs a charity in Siem Reap ...
Stoke Gabriel, Devon, England, United Kingdom conchwillow... is not really a speed demon, but the slower pace suits us fine as we are in no hurry... it also conserves fuel which is important considering the distance we will be covering over the next few months. So we don't really go faster than 50 mile/hr (80km/h for the aussies at home) and we avoid the motorways as there generally is ...

Totnes, England, United Kingdom artellMy teenage boys were beaten up outside out family caravan by 5 boys, who followed my boys back to our caravan after a night out in the onsite club. Torquay, England, United Kingdom bambam42... the departure time of our coach wrong and we left the house a little bit late. Shirls digged out her organisation skills and so we found out that the coach was going to stop near Sowton Industrial Estate as well as the busstation. We decided to go there as the journey wouldnt be as long and the departure time would be later. We waited and waited but no coach showed up. After phoning Stage Coach again we found out the coach was delayed (!) and that we had to wait ...
Exmouth, England, United Kingdom pickmoredaisies... moving up and are competing against teams with far more resources. After taking a 1-nil (football speak) lead, the locals gave up two only to score in the 88th minute to earn a draw (more football speak). Though Emily slept through the second half it was fun and we plan to go to another match this weeknend, though it is in a significantly higher division in the larger city of Plymouth (think pilgrims).
