    ... we all had a bit of a hard time keeping a straight face as he sounded like a kindergarten teacher and spoke his words like an automaton! This glorious modernist building, nestled in soft woods and already 80 yrs old(!) is built in stone and concrete with layered balconies cantilevered out over the small stream and waterfall. Everywhere the sight and sound of falling water is present. Wright designed all his own furniture ...

    ... when we got off the bridge there was a sharp turn uphill and when we made the turn we saw our first Amish men riding a horse and carriage. As we came out of the park near the end of the day the last part of the road was great. The road travelled along the Allegheny river and then rose up over a mountain with great twisty roads. By 6 we stopped in Franklin for the day and had a great supper at a chain called Kelly's. Best food we had all week. Rode 360 km ...

    I hate roads rips because well yes they have good times but this one mostly had bad times. Most of the time we were in the car seeing mountains and a lot of the roads were so bumpy and it made my stomach hurt and it also made my head hurt and we barely ever had silence.     ... pm we rolled away from our house and are now 31 miles from our first campground, Clear Creek State Park in western PA. We should be there by 10 pm. Clara is asleep and Serena is explaining to Ron just how horrible the Disney show "Dog with a Blog" is. That discussion inspired by my current activity.     ... we played on their 18 hole mini-golf course (a travesty, really, and they charged us for it! In terrible condition, but it was still something to do, without having to disconnect the car and go somewhere.
