    For the first time this week we woke to rain – but it didn't matter too much as we were leaving to go home. The coach came to collect us on time and after fetching other travellers from local hotels, we arrived at Luqa Airport in good time for our flight home.     ... unlimited soft drinks, 3 colours of wine or beer. Actually the wine was pretty dire, so after an exploratory glass, we stuck to beer for the rest of the week! The evening was accompanied by 2 older gentlemen on guitar and accordion, very accomplished musicians supposedly playing traditional Maltese music, but I wasn’t so sure when I recognised “My Way,” “Zorba’s Dance” and “Hava Nagila”!

    ... nice walk with great views at the top (I have gone all Roy Cropper whilst packing and I've included my walking boots....they will get used). With regards to packing it is what you'd expect, shorts, t shirts, flip flops. The only grey area has been the boring health related stuff such as Malaria Pills and mosquito nets, thankfully our Mums have taken on this aspect so we haven't had to worry ...

    ... for me today or yesterday. Called Chris and rescheduled for next week. Bob and Pauline invited me for dinner. I really seem to be working this “poor abandoned husband gig” to great advantage! Had week-past-sell-by-date tuna and corn for lunch so if this is the last log, tell Bonnie I love her (more even than tuna and corn).
