... Did make for rough morning to wake up in dark, but very cool experience! Today we had a short 82miles, and before you question how that's possible, we has a tailwind pushing us along for majority of ride. Riding at 20mph with wind at back is much more pleasant than under 10mph with dirt in face! Also had a great convo with hannah all day where we stopped and played with horses, got hit with water balloons at lunch, and biked to a local pool before arriving at ...

We continued the ride in much higher spirits, checked out an abandoned house on the side of the road, made up ...

A very very brief drive (200 m!) ou Route 66. Stop at Prairie Rose Grill at Chelsea (of all places...), grab a coffee, ...

Day 51 - Santa Fe, NM to Dodge City, Kansas (State #21)
775 km and 10 hours on the road, plus an hour on the clock as we entered the Central Time Zone.
Didn't want to leave Santa Fe or our room at Hotel Chimayo, but time (and the Toyota) marches on. We decide that there's no better way to leave Santa Fe than with Crepes in our bellies, so we walk over to La Fonda Hotel and their French Creperie and dine on fresh fruit Crepes. (I'm not sure if the word ...
