The Chifley On South Terrace Adelaide

... night we had dinner with Rick Clise - a guy I worked with many years back who is now a professional sculptor. Beautiful house, great company and fantastic meal at Royal Thai. Was great to cacth up and talk to someone who has abandoned the corporate world for something much more creative.

... oplyst, at togbilletterne tilbage til Adelaide igen var temmelig dyre og ville få turen til at koste mindst lige så meget som med en campervan, hvor vi selv kunne bestemme retning og hastighed, så vi slap med skrækken. Men Jørgen taler stadigvæk drømmende om den billige tur, han kunne have fået fornøjelsen af, hvis han ikke lige var belemret med kvinde og piger, som havde andre forestillinger om en afslappende tur til Australiens Outback.

... things and then get out of Adelaide by the evening. So I used the internet for 3 hours! Sorted out most my photos for this blog. Mum and Davo spent most the time on a bus doing loops of Adelaide but seemed happy enough with that! We met up, picked up a few necesseties and then drove out of Adelaide to a tourist park on the outskirts. Levi Tourist park was perfect. 5km from the centre but it was quiet enough. ... we didn't mind giving her a bit of a cuddle.  The reptile area was cool too, although we were glad to see them all behind glass - the top 5 deadliest snakes in the world all live in Australia. On the Saturday we took a tour around the Barossa Valley for a day of wine tasting.  We went to ... Chateau Tandunda, Wolf Blass, Langmeil, Maggie Beers and the Barossa Valley Estate - 10 points if you've heard of them all.  We learnt lots about wine making and then immediately forgot it all ...

... was a scary sight to see. We drove past a sign saying 'Jacobs Creek' - the road sign for the creek, not the winery, and i tipped my hat thinking of just how many bottles of wine over the world I have drunk and never considered where it came from. After checking out a few wineries we ended our day with a platter of cheese and a few more glasses out on the verandah looking out over the grape vines. Lovely.
