    We left Sauvignone soon after 09:00 and took the autostrade to Turin and then onwards to Briancon. We stopped at Momtgenevre where relatively fresh snow had been swept for the road into piles on the car park.     ... scallope gratin with frites and a green salad. We had a bottle of Savoie Mondeuse, a lighter red wine that neither of us had tried until today. It went very nicely with the meal. This is day 3 and that was bottle 3 so we might need to turn it down just a bit!

    We skipped coffee and had an ice cream from the guy that recommended the restaurant to Stephne and then a circuitous walk back to the hotel where we're turning in for the evening.
