... built for the secretary to the Count of Savoy, at the end of the fourteenth century (1397). We've included some photos of the public gardens, one can only imagine how beautiful they must me in summer! While wandering through the ancient city, we ...

We are currently staying in beautiful Annecy for our 3rd night. We found a 3 bedroom apartment in the middle of the city through airbnb. It is great, and it was nice to meet the owners when they met us to give us the keys and show us through the place. It was raining when we arrived on Friday night, and it rained all day yesterday. ... amazing, perhaps more than 200 stalls throughout the long street. There is the old town reaching down to the lakeside and surrounding the two rivers which merge around the Palais de l'Isle. The lake is surrounded by the Aips and it's absolutely magical beautiful and about 40 km from the Swiss border. It is a perfect spot for romantic getaway, or family vacation.

I would recommend Annecy to anyone who is headed toward the Alps !!!
