      ... the skiing was amazing !!! When we stopped for lunch (lasagna) I left Donna in charge of my skis to find a seat when I turned around I saw one of my skis whizzing down the piste followed by the other one. It came to rest next to a mountain hut and it took me 10 minutes floundering in waist deep snow digging it out !! All the while Donna just laughing her head off ...

      ... We'll have to come back again in a couple of years to see it completely restored. We enjoyed seeing all the trains, including Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth's private rail cars, and of course Thomas the Tank Engine!

      The present citty of York was established by the Romans about 2000 yrs ago, and Yorkminster, the huge cathedral was started about 1000 yrs ago. That was our next stop. We did not pay to go inside, but enjoyed looking at it ...
