... the Shambles and behind the facades of the shops. Apart from the very strong wind it was worth the climb. We visited the Chapter House with its seven stained glass windows and beautiful flooring. I even managed to spot the one and only 'green man' as I was sitting underneath it. The one we have been waiting for! The Ouse has some reputation and needs to be treated with a great deal of respect. It is fast flowing, tidal and not very wide in places for a big river, which then emphasizes the speed of the flow.

... a "duck weed" issue on the Selby Canal but were surprised on how much there was and how green it was, it didn't look like there was a canal at all, under the luminous green covering.
