    ... we headed to the chip shop and bought our delayed lunch. We sat on a bench enjoying the sun, sea and chips. There was also a cyclist doing trick jumps on and off the sea wall to keep us entertained.
    After this we went into the sea for a paddle before walking into town for a drink ahead of the journey home. The sun has stayed with us all day and now we are ready for our evening meal. It has been a fantastic day and fortunately it has been Saltburn not sun ...

    ... by our return along the river to Burnsall bridge and a drive back to the Abbey. The sat nav has had an interesting few days and on the way home took us back on a slightly different route. The first concern was that the 'narrow road' sign was not accompanied by the usual addition of 'with passing places'. The road was not much wider than the car, and the entrances into fields looked much the same ...

    ... on South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand. - not the most original trip but perfect for what we want. Cheap bit of fun to help stick to a tight budget. Lots of culture, followed by good sun and easy living. On the 30th August the count down stops. We head out to Bangkok with a stop over in Dubai. I'll be using this blog to keep in touch, put up pictures and keep track of all the experiences...... Well that's the plan anyway. Wish us luck. I'll be in touch ...

    ... what it would be like living out of a bag for 7 months as he's done that for "long weekends"! Am I truly blessed to have the family I do.
