    ... get an oil change, wash the filthy car, gas up, get groceries and swim in the pool.  I have one more shopping trip planned at "The River", a trip to a 2nd casino here called Fantasy Springs and a steak dinner tonight and Mexican again tomorrow.  The Mexican food is so good out here, that it is hard to resist going to recommended restaurants.  So far we have not been disappointed by the Mexican food.     ... told them about the CAT scan and they said to call them back with the results.

    The scan took about 10 minutes and I was allowed to accompany Bob and the porter to the room, but had to wait outside during the test. Then back to the ER for more waiting and eavesdropping on the situations in the neighbouring curtained areas.

    The doctor came back and told Bob that the scan hadn't found anything that would explain his extreme pain. ...

    ... the canyon yesterday and decided we were armatures in the hiking world who also happened to be recovering from very sore body parts, so Matt sent us up a less steep slope.

    ... the gym. Erin had caught Kev's cold so was resting up. After the workout and breakfast we put the AFL on (Fremantle vs essendon). We were able to watch a replay, ad free, on kevs laptop which we plugged into the hotel plasma to display on the big screen. Pretty sweet set up. Unfortunately freo lost a close game but it was still enjoyable to watch and have a few drinks before the concert. We then headed off to Coachella for the day (first day of the three day festival). ...

    One thing we like to do whenever we are in a new area is to scope out the local book scene. We looked up bookstores online & found a couple places to check out. None were remarkable enough to spend much time on, but let me just comment on the supposedly grouchy woman at the store supposedly called Keep on Bookin'. She seemed a little odd but was friendly enough.
