It took Mo a bit longer as I left her to bring in all the luggage! .....only kidding - would I do (or get away with!) that?? We are in a Chapparal room which is just a bit too tiny. We were shown lovely one and two-level villas but they are between $1500 and $2000 a week making Florida look pretty ...

Yesterday's New Year's Day drive from Barstow to Palm Desert was surprisingly brief - just over two hours. We were going to stop in Yucca Valley for a Starbucks, but we couldn't find one!

After we arrived and were warmly greeted by Terry and Lis Friesen, we took a quick tour of this fabulous home where we will stay for the next two weeks. We will publish some photos ...
