    At last we got the chance to spend more than a couple of days in Maastricht! My cousin Annelies and her husband Jules live there and it's a wonderful city full of history and culture. We really enjoyed the hospitality of our hosts and Jen and Matt were able to visit for my birthday. Sharan and Peter Burrow were only an hour away in Brussels so we got to spend a weekend with them as well as cousins Kees and Ans who live in the rural town of Berlicum and Sanne and Dan in Zierikzee ...

    ... mortgages and kids. I have a cat (that doesn’t even live with me because I do not own a house). And I feel no desire of finding an apartment, which would implicate having to buy furniture; which would mean 'routine’ equals ‘boredom’ equals the end of my sanity.

    And then came the technician: it's the sensor and he does not have the part. The part will be delivered Moday at our mooring place - which will be Spakenburg (8 to 8.5 hrs to get to + 3 locks - Afie says "Hopefully dry"). Spakenburg has 3 kms of NUDE BEACHES (but not at this time of year, we're afraid). To be continued...
