Penny Lane is in my ears and in my eyes...
Woke up early amd cooked breakfast in our apartment to be ready to go for 9am. We were picked up by Danny, from the Fab Four taxi tours, for the die-hard fan package, a 5 hour tour that actually turned into more like 7 hours because Danny was awesome!! The very first stop was Stu Sutcliffe's first flat while he was studying at the Liverpool Art …
There are places I remember
Today started with a walk over to Albert Dock to get picked up for our National Trust House tour. Chester
... sluices were opened and closed in the correct sequence.
After that had a meal at the Queen Victoria which is a very old pub, and then a walk around the shops in the old town. The shops are at ground level and also on an upper level. Ellesmere
Back down the motorway on Thursday to Ellesmere Port where the Waterways museum is. I guess you have to like boats, especially narrow boats, to enjoy a day out here. Just like yeaterday the weather was kind n the morning, but by 3.30 it was getting dark and cold.
still, we had a good look around the museum and spent about three hours there. Lots of things to see and in summer there are boat trips up the canal.
A good day out.
