Southampton, England, United Kingdom sophianrachaelAt around 06:00 Arcadia slowly approached the Ocean Terminal berth and our Cruise was nearly over. We enjoyed one last breakfast in the Belevedere and waited for our disembarkation at 09:15. We sat and reflected about where we had been and all the facilities that the ship offered. My favourites where the Crows nest which is a bit like "Ten Forward" on the Enterprise "D", the Palladium ...
Southampton, England, United Kingdom mickinwhitbyBournemouth has a very funny layout.. the two main streets of the town go up both sides of the hills that lead down to the park and eventually to the famous Pier.

I was a bit down in the dumps this day.. I think because I was watching all the families and couples having some fun. It was mid term break so there were heaps of kids around and the entrance to the Pier was packed with amusements and ...

Ringwood, England, United Kingdom sares12We had breakfast at the IBIS Hotel in Southampton and then went for a walk around the West Quay Shopping Centre and discovered the biggest IKEA we have ever seen. We went back to the hotel for about 11:30 and checked out. The taxi got us to the Mayflower terminal at about 12:30 and by 13:15 we were in the Belvedere restaurant on board Arcadia having Lunch. We set sail at 16:30 on our way to Madeira

Southampton, England, United Kingdom sares12... up on their 3 months of travel, great to catch up with them as we only had 24hrs with them. It was a great weekend rounded out with great friends and cousins. The only sad bit of the weekend was seeing Phil and Meaghan go back to Australia and also hearing news that our beloved dog Gator finally went to doggy heaven, he had a great innings of 15years. Anyway we are back to reality and moving on, so as I said in the last blog, York in 2 weeks!
Bournemouth, England, United Kingdom dkjohansen... countries who have participated in the contest and each country is allowed to award points in a sort of rank ordered fashion (e..g., Turkey may award 10 points to Estonia and 12 points to Serbia-if Serbia accumulates the most points at the end of the voting, then they win-which they did). The contest is quite outrageous and is not exactly an exhibition of musical talent; as some BBC commentators ...
Bournemouth, United Kingdom vanwie... at a local Tesco. At least I did something and discovered Poole really well for once. ----------- March 29 I went back to Bournemouth to handle some CV (cinema), Floh joined me later and we walked in town. We also stopped at Adrian's job place and had a beer there. Floh was going to the cinema and I stayed with Adrian before coming back home later. A quiet evening but really cool. Adrian is a really cool guy, everyone will surely appreciate his laugh!
