    The drive up from LA was quiet, uneventful and teasing. I say teasing because it's been the first time since I've been on the PCH and the views are just stunning.

    Santa Barbara is quaint, kitschy and certainly even a somewhat squishy poo-poo.

    I find a parking spot, grab myself a tea and make my way down to the first of two activities for the day - an architectural walking tour of old Santa Barbara.

    ... a family holiday spot over summer that's for sure. The hostel was in a good spot but it wasn't very well run - from what I can gather its run but backpackers like me who work for board. Therefore they don't love their job and can be quite rude. And they know nothing about the area or even America for that manner. Very unhelpful. But that's ok - I worked it out for myself. Was up for a quiet night and I ventured out for dinner and went to the movies ...

    ... the CPU and RAM so it can function. Need to handle it in a controlled fashion from here on in and will definitely need to fund an upgrade when I get back home!

    So – took the gentle drive down the PCH following the same route I had gone with my brothers several years previously. Traffic was light but I was still blessed with the company of a few fwits who decided that driving up my jacksey was a fun thing to do in the misty morning air ...

    On the 16th September Alan & Linda left Dublin to go on their Honeymoon. Unfortunately on the 6th October Mr & Mrs Blobbie are going to return in their place :-) We just can't avoid getting stuffed every time we go for food. The portions we were served last night at the Mexican would have fed a small army. Tonight wasn't much different at a local seafood ...

    ... lovely and the scenery,towns and shops are beaut. It's like two different worlds home and there. I hope my next americano experience will be New York New York as it's next on my list of things to do. Whither its now or in 10years ill be back! haha! We started the holiday with a negative z list celeb spot in sophie anderton at heathrow....upped it to jeremey clarkson cycling on venice beach,then possibly spotted pink in LA. We flew home with Emeli sande and Leona Lewis ...
