... been filled with joy and laughter yesterday, was now somber and quiet. The morning was subdued, and filled with tearful hugs. We said our goodbyes with heavy hearts, taking our leave with quiet footsteps. Glad only in the fact that we were together, and able to support my cousin during the worst time, as it unfolded, instead of hours or days later.
Our drive to Riverside was a quiet one, reflective and sad.
