      ... care of logistics like returning rental car, getting RV shipping paid (not as simple as it sounds); and sorting out last pieces of international driver/car/RV insurance so we are legal, (Woohoo!),

      ... There was no racing on yesterday which was a disappointment as we had made coming here a specific date. A band had been hired for entertainment but on going down to watch it only played songs from the 50's and 60's, not to bad but some chap had brought his Karaoke set up along and that was much more enjoyable to watch and he was a pretty good singer to. I think he did gigs for parties and pubs and was very entertaining, he also had his own version of a couple of Oasis and Robbie ...

      ... we supposedly came through the clouds, then leaves started to fall. Then the patterns changed to paintings and then to windowed ceilings. All done by a film. I mentioned this difference to the 'liftman', and he then took us up on another lift - which was obviously the one with the 'weather' film showing. Martin and I made 6 journeys up and down the lifts - just so I could take photos....sad but worth it to me.

      So, after years of saving and months of planning, the big day finally arrived! David had to get up at 6.15 to be ready to take Emily to work at the David Lloyd centre in Epsom for 7.00am. Susie got up as well to wish her daughter farewell and then set about checking the list of outstanding actions, which had grown much longer overnight!
