The first day after Navy boot camp graduation, we had lunch with several family members that live close to Great Lakes, Illinois. One of them told us about the Christmas Market in downtown Chicago. We decided to go check it out.

Our drive took about an hour. We found a parking space in a parking garage directly across from Daley Center, the location of the market. The elevator from the garage actually brought us into the heart of ...

As it wasn't snowing, and the temperature was a little warmer, only 10 below at 10am, we caught a bus to Navy Pier. The first bus we caught was full of society's dispossessed, disabled and thoroughly disagreeable people. Terry loves this interaction with local people. Me, I hold my breath and keep my eyes down. We had to run for the bus, and Terry doesn't understand that I can't/won't run for buses or anything. I must have looked funny as ...

... red line which is just up the road and then change to the green line further on'... 'Ok great, thanks!' And we are on our way. We walk a couple of blocks and I consult our map to see how far to go, three more blocks so we keep going. I am checking out the street names as we go and after a while I am positive we have gone more than three blocks and I hear someone walking in the opposite direction talking about going to the redline, so out comes the map again, yep we ...
